Variety of Events at Lake of the Ozarks

The Lake of the Ozarks has become home to many Nationally known events and is growing every year. This would also account for why Lake of the Ozarks Real Estate is still in such high demand.
Boat Races at Lake of the Ozarks
One of the oldest events which just completed its 21st year is the Shootout which basically started as a local boat race and now has become the largest unsanctioned boat race in the U.S., some of the fastest boats in the world make this a priority race held towards the end of August every year. After that some of the same boats reappear in September for the OSS Offshore Super Series Championships, which takes place at Toad Cove, this has extended the summer season and includes a full weekend of entertainment from National Acts and Bands. The Horny Toad Entertainment Complex, as well as Shady Gators both located at Toad Cove have become one of the most popular destinations at Lake of the Ozarks. They both have nightly local and national talent and are both host to many national events. The Horny Toad has hosted Entertainers like Randy Travis, Willie Nelson, Little River Band, Beach Boys, Styx, and Steve Miller Band just to name a few. The Shady Gator host the Hawaiian Tropic Bikini contest and has also been host to Girls Gone Wild.
Popular Bikini Contest
The Fall season also brings the Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest, over 20,000 (& growing) Bikers partake of a week full of concerts & special events.
People also come from all over the country to see the Fall foliage and the Holiday Light Displays and shows at the Main Street Music Hall.
If comedy is your thing “The Blue Room Lounge” is host to popular up & coming National Acts every Wednesday evening throughout the year.
The Lake of the Ozarks is also home to one of the largest Christian Contemporary Music Festivals in June of every year. The Crossover Festival is a 3 day event featuring the top artist in Christian Contemporary Music.
Bass Fishing Tournaments are a big off season draw and the Lake is host to fishing tournaments almost year round and draw professional as well as local fisherman. It is not an uncommon site to see bass boats on the lake when the snow is flying.
The Cove Golf Course
Golf Tournaments are also a big draw at the Lake of the Ozarks and the Lake is home to some of the top courses in the country. It is not unusual to see professional ball players and celebrities out enjoying the links on their favorite course during the season. Many of these celebrities are owners of Lake of the Ozarks Real Estate and enjoy spending as much time as possible at their lake homes.
This is but a small sampling of events at the favorite vacation spot in the Midwest, as you can see there is something for everyone, and yes we must also mention the world famous lake party cove which is a summer long event itself.

Do you think the housing crisis is over and we have entered a post crash realty industry? I believe the economy needs to fully recover prior to we have enough individuals confident enought to purchase new homes. In this current market its hard to make a long term investment and burden oneself with additional debt with as a lot uncertainty is inside the air.
